A long and scoreless 120 minutes was not enough to decide a winner between Portugal and Slovenia in the Euro Tournament Round of 16. But it only took three successful penalties for Cristiano Ronaldo and company to escape with the victory in a shootout.
Despite missing a controversial spot kick in the 105th minute during extra time, which would have put Portugal up 1-0 and potentially avoided the shootout altogether, Ronaldo got his revenge on Slovenian goalkeeper Jan Orbak to start.
