With organized team activities (OTAs) just a few days away, Denver Broncos starting quarterback Bo Nix is making the most of his time in the Centennial State this offseason.
In a little over 24 hours over Memorial Day weekend, the 25-year-old Nix was very visible around Denver, even without his Broncos jersey on.
A public-facing weekend for Nix began on Friday night at Coors Field as he threw out the first pitch before the Colorado Rockies hosted the New York Yankees. With a sellout crowd in attendance, Nix delivered a strike to set the tone for the night, with the Rockies eventually recording a stunning 3-2 win for just their ninth victory on the season.
Nix threw out the first pitch to Rockies outfielder Jordan Beck, someone Nix encountered during his high school football days in Alabama. Beck also gave a hat tip to Nix, wearing Broncos-themed cleats during the game as well as first-pitch ceremonies.

Nix followed up his appearance at Coors Field with a surprise moment on stage with country music artist Brad Paisley at Red Rocks Amphitheater on Saturday night.
With the rain coming down at the famed music venue, Nix came on stage (along with country music artist Walker Hayes) to join Paisley for the end of his "I'm Still A Guy" song.
After the song, Hayes departed the stage, and Nix leaned over to Paisley as the singer whispered in his ear. Nix, with a microphone in his hand, was then mentioned by Paisley as someone who could replace another Broncos quarterback (retired signal-caller Peyton Manning) in a certain job.
Manning and Paisley starred in commercials promoting Nationwide, an insurance and financial services company, but Nix proved he was up to the task while singing the Nationwide jingle (crooned by Manning in some of the ads) to the delight of the crowd.

While Nix has been enjoying his offseason, his time back on the field for the Broncos is coming soon. OTAs are scheduled for the Broncos from May 27-29 and June 3-5, while Denver's first mandatory minicamp is slated for June 10-12.
