The Edmonton Oilers took a 2-1 series lead in the Western Conference Final on Sunday thanks to a 6-1 win over the Dallas Stars. The Oilers were in complete control from the start and are now just two wins away from a return trip to the Stanley Cup Final.
Here are some takeaways from Sunday's win.
Connor McDavid looks like a player on a mission
The only thing McDavid's career is missing at this point is a Stanley Cup ring to add to his already impressive list of personal accomplishments. He is playing like a man on a mission to make sure he gets that ring this season.
He continued that on Sunday with two goals, helping to set the stage for Edmonton's rout.

Entering Game 3 he had scored just three goals in the playoffs, but was still leading the playoffs with 20 total points and making a constant impact when he was on the ice.
On Sunday, the goal-scoring returned.
This is already McDavid's seventh two-point game of the playoffs, while he has recorded at least two points in 50% of the playoff games he has played in his career (44 out of 88 games).
Just to put that number in perspective, Sidney Crosby and Nathan MacKinnon have recorded two points in only 37% of his career playoff games. Nikita Kucherov has done so in only 31% of his playoff games. Matthew Tkachuk and Aleksander Barkov have done it only 22% of their playoff games.
Another great showing from Stuart Skinner
You just never know which version of Skinner is going to show up in these games, but for all of his flaws he is absolutely capable of going on a heater that gives the Oilers a fighting chance. He did it in last year's playoffs on their run to a Stanley Cup Final appearance. He is doing it again this season after reclaiming his starting job following the injury to Calvin Pickard.
He stopped 33 of 34 shots in Sunday's win and has allowed just six goals in his past five starts (with five of those goals coming in one game). He has a .954 save percentage during that stretch.
Some major struggles for some of Dallas' top players
While McDavid is in full control for the Oilers, some of Dallas' top players are fighting it right now offensively.
Mikko Rantanen has not scored a goal in six games and has just two assists over that stretch after helping to carry the Stars offense earlier in the playoffs.
Wyatt Johnston, one of their best young players, was a minus-two in Sunday's game and dropped down to a minus-17 for the playoffs and has just one point (a goal) over his past nine games.
The Stars are going to need more from these guys if they are going to get back in this series.
