Scottie Scheffler is on such a dominant run that even fellow sports legends like LeBron James and Patrick Mahomes are in awe.
Scheffler won the BMW Championship on Sunday at Caves Valley Golf Club in Owings Mills, Md. The win was his fifth of the year, all of which have come in Scheffler's last 10 tournaments. Scheffler has finished no worse than eighth in any event in which he has played since March.
While Scheffler has been known to suck the drama out of a tournament by blowing away the field, that was not the case in the final round of the BMW Championship. He had a one-shot lead over Robert MacIntyre and appeared to be in a bit of trouble after missing the green with his tee shot at the 17th hole.
What could have been a bogey and a dropped shot turned into one of the best shots of the year, as Scheffler chipped in for birdie from more than 80 feet out.
SCOTTIE. SCHEFFLER. ARE YOU KIDDING?!?!

A chip-in birdie to take a two-shot lead on the 71st hole @BMWchamps! pic.twitter.com/nw6YitU0FA
Scheffler has been the No. 1 golfer in the world for well over two years, so fans have come to expect shots like that from him. That doesn't make them any less impressive.
Even Mahomes, a three-time Super Bowl MVP, was blown away.
Scottie is crazy man

James, winner of four NBA MVP awards and four NBA titles, also gave Scheffler a big shoutout.
Crazy ZONE he’s in currently!

There are few athletes in history who know more about dominance and clutch performing than Mahomes and James. Game recognize game, as they say.
Plenty of insane stats show how Scheffler has been in his own stratosphere for quite some time. The acknowledgement from Mahomes and James is yet another reminder of that.
