Giants' Malik Nabers speaks out about incident with HC Brian Daboll during loss

On Wednesday, Nabers was asked about the incident during his news conference. Nabers said his frustration has nothing to do with his lack of targets. (The 2024 first-round pick finished the game with five receptions for 71 yards.)

The New York Giants didn't like Malik Nabers' body language

Nabers suggested Daboll didn't like his language when he was talking to his teammates.

"Like I said, I was trying to get the offense going," Nabers said, via Jordan Raanan of ESPN. "I was trying to get people to, 'Let's get rolling.' The lights were on. The game was on. It was time to play. I feel that just got pushed over and everybody was talking about how I had an attitude and stuff like that.

"I got an NBF. I got a natural b---- face. That is just what it is. That is my face. I don't know. When you all talk to me, I look the same way every time. It's just how I am. I guess I have to smile more."

The Giants offense didn't get going, scoring just two field goals in a 21-6 loss to their NFC East rival. Nabers admitted that he needs to be more aware of his surroundings and cameras during games, which is a good plan for a team with a head coach and general manager (Joe Schoen) on the hot seat and a fan base wanting rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart to replace Russell Wilson.

The Giants already have plenty of drama without the aesthetics of a disgruntled receiver adding to the theater.
