Dodgers have made a decision about trading Tyler Glasnow

The Los Angeles Dodgers are the team to beat in pro baseball, and that's not going to change any time soon.

However, that doesn't mean they're done making moves. If anything, they should continue to be one of the most active teams in the market.

That's why it wasn't shocking to hear that Tyler Glasnow could be on the move. However, as he told Dani Wexelman of ESPN, the team has already let him know that he's not going anywhere.

Dodgers not expected to trade Tyler Glasnow

"Dodgers starting pitcher Tyler Glasnow told us on MLB Network Radio Sunday Sliders that Dodgers President of Baseball Ops Andrew Friedman told him he isn't being traded," Wexelman reported on X.

The Dodgers acquired Glasnow from the Tampa Bay Rays two years ago, and he's signed through the 2028 campaign. He's going to make $30M per season over the next two years before the Dodgers can opt out of the deal with a club option.

He's posted a 3.37 ERA with a 30.9% strikeout rate in 40 starts for the team, as well as a 1.69 ERA in six postseason contests. That's not the type of player most teams would usually trade. Then again, given the Dodgers' plethora of options and stars, they don't operate like most teams.

For now, however, it seems like the right-hander hurler is going to stay in his native California and continue to be one of the anchors of the most stacked rotation in all of baseball.
