Anthony Edwards gave Ja Morant an earful during Monday’s game.
Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves faced off on Monday against the Memphis Grizzlies at FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tenn. Morant was not playing for the Timberwolves due to an elbow sprain but was present on the bench in street clothes for the contest.
At one point during the first quarter, Edwards hit a catch-and-shoot three-pointer from the left wing in front of the Memphis bench. He then turned in the direction of Morant and loudly yelled, “You can’t do that Ja!” as he was backpedaling to the other end.
You can see the video of the incident at the link here.
It was all love in the end though between Edwards and Morant. As the final seconds ticked away in the 137-128 victory for the Grizzlies, the two were seen exchanging pleasantries.

Edwards, who finished with a game-high 39 points in his team’s loss on Monday, used to have a big rivalry with Morant and the Grizzlies (especially after their 2022 playoff series against each other). While that rivalry has since cooled, Edwards showed that he can still bring it from time to time, even in a losing effort.
