Continuing their early domination in the series, the Milwaukee Brewers benefited from their starting pitcher getting revenge against his former team.
Kyle Harrison even matched his career-high in strikeouts as he led the Brewers to an 8-3 win over the San Francisco Giants on Tuesday night.
Lasting only 5.2 innings, Harrison did his part. He struck out 12 and allowed just one run off four hits with two walks. Harrison's 12 strikeouts tied the mark he set earlier in the season during an April 26 game against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
His latest gem served as a way to show his former team what they're missing. After spending his first two seasons with the Giants, Harrison was traded to the Boston Red Sox midway through his third year in 2025. Boston then sent Harrison to Milwaukee in February ahead of the 2026 season.

To their credit, the Giants never saw the side of Harrison that the Brewers have been enjoying. In 11 starts, he's now 7-1 with a 1.57 ERA, 73 strikeouts and a 1.03 WHIP. His seven wins has already tied his single-season high when he went 7-7 in 24 starts in 2024.
Harrison was only 1-1 with a 4.04 ERA in 11 games and six starts with the Giants and Red Sox combined last season.
However, Harrison keeps proving that his surprising season is no fluke. The one run he gave up on Tuesday was his first allowed since May 9, when the New York Yankees scored two on him.
Harrison then posted three straight shutout wins over the San Diego Padres, Chicago Cubs and St. Louis Cardinals.
Establishing himself as an ace on the staff, Harrison is a big reason why the Brewers are 16 games over .500 and lead the National League Central at 37-21.
The Brewers have now won the first two games of their four-game series with San Francisco.
