Caitlin Clark fans fume over latest MVP race development

Caitlin Clark is the most popular WNBA player today and continues to perform at a high level. She is a big reason why the Indiana Fever have turned things around after a slow start to the season.

The 6-foot guard averages 21.5 points, 3.8 rebounds and 7.9 assists, making a strong case to win this year’s MVP award. Indiana is on a five-game winning streak and has a 19-10 record for the season. Clark drives the team with her on-court brilliance on full display each game.

She earned her third straight All-Star nod this year. Clark’s chances of winning the league’s highest individual award will boosted even more if she can lead the Fever to a better seed for the playoffs.

Caitlin Clark’s fans angered by WNBA’s top 5 MVP candidates

The superstar guard’s fans fumed on X with the WNBA’s latest MVP race development. A graphic was shown during the WNBA on ION broadcast on Friday. with Clark not part of the top five. A’ja Wilson leads the list, followed by Kelsey Mitchell, Paige Bueckers, Olivia Miles and Breanna Stewart.

They dropped their reactions in the comments section.

“The sooner CC leaves the WNBA the sooner we never have to hear about that garbage league again,” a fan commented.

“Caitlin’s stats are better then 3 of these players,” one reaction read.

“Averaging 29.4 and 9 assists on 55.8 percent shooting over the past 5 games – but doesn’t make an MVP candidate graphic. It’s a joke at this point. That’s Caitlin Clark. And she busted a triple double tonight. Got it. And someone put this graphic together,” a user said.

Clark is fourth in scoring, second in assists and tied for fourth in three-pointers made per game in the league. Indiana is also fourth in the standings, which strengthens her case further. Her exclusion from the list will likely trigger more reactions in the coming days.
