Brock Lesnar teased retirement for the second time this year on Saturday night.
‘The Beast Incarnate’ suggested he was done with the WWE after losing at WrestleMania in April.
Just a few weeks later, Brock Lesnar made a surprise return and resumed his feud with Oba Femi, which culminated in a Hell in a Cell rubber match at SummerSlam 2026.
Oba Femi, who has only been on the main roster since March, defeated Brock Lesnar with the Fall From Grace powerbomb to win his second fight of their trilogy.
Post-fight, the former UFC heavyweight champion asked for a microphone and called Femi back into the ring.
“Minnesota, and the whole wide world watching this s—tonight,” Lesnar shouted.
“Come here, Oba. Here’s the future of WWE. Come here, Oba. Congratulations. This is the future, ladies and gentlemen.”
“This is the past,” he said while pointing at himself.
“This is the future,” Lesnar added before raising his opponent’s arm in the air and patting him on the back as he exited the ring.

Triple H – real name Paul Levesque – was caught off guard by Brock Lesnar’s post-fight speech.
The WWE’s Chief Content Officer, Head of Creative, and Executive Producer wasn’t 100 percent certain what he had witnessed after the SummerSlam Night 1 main event.
“I don’t know,” Triple H said when asked if Brock Lesnar had just made his last WWE appearance.

“You saw Brock in whatever way he retired a few months ago and then come back and do this.
“But for Brock to walk back to the ring, to bring Oba back in there with him, to put him over verbally and physically as, ‘This is the future of the business. This is the today. This is the now. This is the future, and I am the past.’ That’s a pretty bold statement.
“Brock doesn’t just say things. Without reading into it any more than that, ‘I am the past’ is what he said. But you know as well as I do, Brock does what Brock wants to do. So I would take what he said at face value and let’s see.”
