Watch: Andrew Luck is throwing again to help former teammate land an NFL contract

Former Indianapolis Colts star quarterback Andrew Luck is tossing dimes again — sort of.

Luck was spotted on Tuesday throwing passes on the field to his former Stanford Cardinal teammate and veteran NFL tight end Zach Ertz.

Here is the video of Luck throwing passes to Ertz just like the good old days.

The 35-year-old Ertz went down with a torn ACL injury in a December game between the Washington Commanders and the Minnesota Vikings last season, but he is now on the comeback trail, looking to land a new contract to continue his pro career.

The three-time Pro Bowler tight end is not quite ready to hang it up even after such a devastating injury, and he is hoping that his workout with Luck will catch the attention of teams looking to add experience or an extra body to their TE room.

Adam Schefter of ESPN reported that Ertz has been ”cleared for all football activities and wants to play this season.”

While already on the back nine of his career and coming off a serious injury, Ertz can potentially give a team’s offense a boost. In the 13 games he played for the Commanders last season, he posted 504 receiving yards and 4 touchdowns on 50 catches and 72 targets. A Super Bowl winner with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2018, Ertz also suited up for the Arizona Cardinals.

As for Luck, he seems to be happily retired, but it was still nice to see the four-time Pro Bowler sling it.
