Fever's Caitlin Clark speaks out after getting eighth technical foul as she faces possible suspension

"(The official) said I ran into her," Clark said during her postgame interview with the media. "I've already watched it on the tape, so we'll let the league decide, but it wasn't intentional or anything. So, I'm hoping it's getting rescinded.”

Fever head coach Stephanie White, who also got a technical for arguing the call and apparently having some choice words directed at the referee, spoke her mind after the game.

"That's a bad call," White said. "Incidental contact when you're flying out of control. And I thought (the officials') teammates should have come up and talked to her about that, as well."

She added, "I think that's really bad. That ... happens all the time in the game. Officials have to have some awareness in those moments and it didn't happen."

Per the WNBA's official rules, a player or coach is automatically given a one-game suspension after getting their eighth technical foul during the regular season. From there, every two additional technical fouls during the regular season will add on another one-game suspension. But, the Fever are appealing. If that appeal is successful, Clark won't have to miss a game, yet.
