Kansas City Chiefs rookie cornerback Mansoor Delane might be inching closer to making his debut.
The No. 6 pick out of LSU has been in a yellow non-contact jersey through training camp, and they held him out of the preseason opener vs. the Los Angeles Rams.
Obviously, that raised concerns about his availability and development ahead of the season opener.
That's why the fans will be thrilled to see that he's finally dropped the yellow jersey, as shown by KSHB41's Matt Foster.

The Chiefs were never concerned about Delane's long-term outlook, though the timing of the injury was unfortunate.
General manager Brett Veach already said recently that Delane would likely be fully cleared in the following days, so it looks like everything is going according to plan for the promising rookie:
“He’s been taking all the seven-on-seven reps and just the team periods and the contact stuff we want to leave him out of right now. But I would say in the next seven, eight days he’ll probably get the green light to do everything, so we’re excited about him,” the GM said, per the Kansas City Star.
The Chiefs secondary went through a significant overhaul this offseason, with Bryan Cook, Jaylen Watson and Trent McDuffie leaving.
Delane will have some big shoes to fill in the boundary, with second-year CB Nohl Williams likely starting opposite him.
Rolling with two young and unproven players at cornerback comes with major risks for defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo, though Delane's potential and college tape are vastly encouraging.
He'll likely get his first taste of NFL action in a limited run vs. the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Saturday, Aug. 22.
