The New England Patriots went from having an underwhelming wide receiver corps to having a pretty stacked one.
Romeo Doubs and A.J. Brown's arrivals will make life easier for Drake Maye, but they've also made Kayshon Boutte the odd man out.
Entering a contract year with no new deal in sight, the Patriots wideout would prefer to take his talents elsewhere to find a new opportunity for a long-term deal. That's why, after talking about it extensively earlier in the offseason, Boutte is finally done addressing the situation.
“As far as the trades, I feel like I pretty much answered everything. So there’s no need for me to really talk about it anymore,” the wide receiver said.

Of course, that doesn't mean he'll hold out or do anything but continue being a pro's pro. He's focused on the task at hand, and if his zip code were to change at any point in the future, he'll work as hard for his new team as he's doing in Foxborough right now.
“We all hear a lot of the stuff that's going on. I think my main focus is just that I'm here today. My feet are here today. If I'm somewhere else next week, the week after, that's kind of what it is. That's the business. But I'm taking every day, day by day, not thinking about what's next,” Boutte said.
For what it's worth, the Patriots held him out of the preseason opener, so they might still have big plans for him as a key contributor to their passing game in 2026. He's coming off hauling in 33 receptions for 551 yards and a career-high six touchdowns. That said, the Patriots must decide whether to extend him or move him. Otherwise, they risk letting him walk without getting anything in return.
