Cameron Brink takes a profane shot at Enes Kanter Freedom

Cameron Brink is not in Enes Kanter Freedom’s corner.

The Los Angeles Sparks star Brink was interviewed before a recent game by Jarrod Castillo of The Mirror. During the interview, Brink got asked about the ongoing debate over transgender athletes in the WNBA.

At one point, Brink made a reference to the former NBA center Freedom and took a profane shot at him.

“I don’t know what the f–k his name is, like, Enes Kanter?” said Brink. “He’s a stupid piece of s–t. And I think a lot of people think that, and I think he’s just trying to stay relevant.

"I think people are tuned in for the right reasons and it's great that we can all talk about things that are important and hard and even have your own opinions on that. But I think taking something that's a non-issue right now and just trying to use it for clickbait or for views for likes, and then targeting a vulnerable community, is just really low."

Freedom, 34, has made headlines this summer over his attempt to declare for the WNBA Draft by claiming that he self-identifies as a woman, supposedly thereby meeting eligibility requirements. The former NBA lottery pick even showed up at a WNBA game over the weekend and was ejected after getting into a confrontation with Chicago Sky guard Natasha Cloud (see the video here).

The Sky later announced that Freedom had been banned indefinitely from attending their games. Now we know that Brink, the 24-year-old forward/center, does not support Freedom’s antics related to the WNBA either.
