Aliyah Boston comments on Caitlin Clark, Stephanie White with Team USA

Aliyah Boston is participating in the FIBA World Cup for Team USA. The Indiana Fever star is playing a key role, helping the national team secure a semifinals berth. Her fellow WNBA stars, including Caitlin Clark, are with her, and Stephanie White is serving as one of Kara Lawson’s assistant coaches. The four-time All-Star talked about being alongside them in Berlin.

Team USA defeated Hungary in the quarterfinals 108-56. Boston produced eight points, four rebounds, three assists and three steals, along with impact plays. She has been a consistent contributor throughout the tournament and has showcased her elite all-around game.

Next up for the Americans is a showdown with Spain on Saturday. The winner will advance to the gold medal game against either France or Germany.

A reporter asked Boston about being at the World Cup with her Fever teammate and head coach. She expressed gratefulness for being able to share the experience with them.

“It’s great I think it’s always nice to have somebody that you know and that knows you as a player, knows you as a person,” Boston said. “You just go through constant joy with them.”

The World Cup finals will be played on Sunday. It Team USA advances, Boston, Clark and White will only have four days before they return to action with the Fever. They will play the first of their remaining four games on Sept. 18 at Coca-Cola Coliseum against the Toronto Tempo. The team will then host the Washington Mystics and Minnesota Lynx at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

The Fever’s final regular-season game is scheduled for Sept. 24 at Target Center versus the Lynx. They are currently fifth in the standings with a 26-14 record and chasing the No. 3 seed along with the Las Vegas and Atlanta Dream.
