Las Vegas isn't a ski town per se, but with Lee Canyon ski area just a 45 minute drive from The Strip, there are plenty of skiers in the growing population center.

Lee Canyon recently announced that Mother Nature delivered more than 60 inches of snow in March and early April, enough to extend their season by a couple of weeks.

The resort will now remain open for skiing and riding seven days a week through Sunday, April 20, 2025, a respectably-late closing date for a southern ski area.

Johnny DeGeorge, Lee Canyon marketing coordinator, said in a statement about the season extension that the resort wants to remain open "as long as possible". It's not clear if that means more ski days could be added after April 20th, but it certainly leaves the door open.
