Wildcat Mountain, NH, in Pinkham Notch (a very scenic and hikeable area come summertime) isn't ready to let go of winter weather just yet, writing, "cheers to April snowstorms," in an announcement to Facebook that Wildcat will remain open for an extra weekend: Friday, April 19 through Sunday, April 21. See below.

Wildcat has reportedly received more snow than any other ski area in New Hampshire this season, and their total snowfall is 178 inches. Over 50” has fallen on Wildcat in the past two weeks alone.

Their base depth is 20 inches and they have seen 28 inches fall over the last week.

Wildcat will be closed Monday, April 15 through Thursday, April 18, and then operations will resume on Friday, April 19, with the Wildcat Express and the Snowcat triple running from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Saturday, April 20, to Sunday, April 21, the Wildcat Express Snowcat triple and Snowbelt will be spinning from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Wildcat also has a packed schedule of events starting today: today (Monday, April 8th) because of the solar eclipse, Wildcat is having the Solar Eclipse Party. There will be a glow costume contest, eclipse-themed crafts, and a pop-up BBQ and Bar.

On Saturday, April 13th, the Cat's Meow Spring Fling will be returning. It's a weekend of rocking retro gear, live music from a DJ, and the famous pond skim.

Spring is sounding pretty good right about now.
