Ademola Lookman’s entourage contacts Tottenham Hotspur for a potential summer transfer

Some significant changes have taken place in the Tottenham Hotspur squad in the last summer transfer window. The Spurs fans saw one of their most beloved players of the last decade, Son Heung-Min, leave their team this summer, as he joined the MLS side Los Angeles FC.

Undoubtedly, the departure of a player of his stature would be felt by the North London team in this season. However, the club is also working in the market to mitigate the impact of this departure, and linked with several big names, including Eberechi Eze and Savinho, to strengthen their attack.

In addition to these players, another big name is now being linked with them. As per a report from TBR Football, the Atalanta star Ademola Lookman’s entourage is in contacts with several clubs after his move to Inter Milan collapsed, and Tottenham is one of the clubs that has been approached by them.

The Nigeria international was really keen to a move to the Milan side, and had even handed in a transfer request to his club. However, this move is now collapsed, and his entourage has talked with several Premier League sides, including Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham, Manchester City, and Aston Villa in the last two days to tell them that he is once again on the market.

The Nigerian would be a good addition to the Spurs team

Spurs have been interested in the African ace since 2018, and he would certainly be a great addition to their team at this point in time. He could be a very good replacement for Son, as he has already shown during his time at Atalanta that he is one of the top forwards in Europe.

Last season, he scored 20 goals and provided seven assists in 40 total appearances. 15 of these goals came in the Serie A, while another 5 of these goals came in the UEFA Champions League. Thus, he can bring both goalscoring and creativity to the Tottenham attack.

But for now, it remains to be seen whether Spurs would be ready to divert resources to initiate an operation to sign him at this late stage of the transfer window.
