'A great manager'- Jermain Defoe praises for ‘unbelievable’ summer addition; nothing but high praise

Tottenham made the right call by hiring Thomas Frank

Tottenham look like a completely transformed team under Thomas Frank this season. The Lilywhites are refusing to throw in the towel easily and are proving to be tough competitors in the Premier League. All thanks to Frank, the North London club look like serious challengers for a top-four spot in the league as they aim to build on their Europa League success.

Even Jermain Defoe has joined in the chorus of praise for the Danish manager after Tottenham’s brilliant start to the season. Speaking to Hayters TV, Defoe said,

“I just feel like he’s a great manager. He knows when to change and when to adapt. He doesn’t approach every game the same. And away from all of that, he’s an unbelievable human being.”

The Spurs icon added,

“You know, he’s approachable. You can speak to him about anything apparently. That’s what the players say. And obviously the little time that I had with him was really good.”

Jermain Defoe believes Tottenham made the right call by appointing Thomas Frank, highlighting the manager’s ability to adapt his tactics and manage his players effectively. His man-management skills, in particular, have stood out, with players appreciating his openness, empathy, and willingness to support them during challenging moments.  

Fans will now hope that Thomas Frank continues to build on the positive start his team have encountered at the start of the season. The ongoing international break comes at the right time for the Dane, as he will look to rectify any small errors and learn from his mistakes to make things right quickly. Spurs are currently on a seven-game unbeaten run in all competitions. So, the onus is on Frank to continue that impressive run and build on last season’s Europa League success.
