There are reports Manchester United are ready to spend up to €40m for Sevilla midfielder Lucien Agoumé, which would give Inter a big profit on top.
The 23-year-old first joined Inter from FC Sochaux in 2019 at a cost of €4.5m, but he made only four appearances for the senior squad.
He went on a series of loan experiences to Spezia, Brest, Troyes and Sevilla, eventually making the move to Spain a permanent one in 2024.
That agreement was worth €8m with Inter receiving a 50 per cent cut of the future sale fee.
It means that if Agoumé is now sold to Manchester United for circa €40m, as is reported, then the Nerazzurri would make €20m from the deal.
However, Sevilla did also have an option to pay €4m and reduce the sell-on percentage given to Inter to just 10 per cent.
Tuttomercatoweb now suggest they will use it and therefore give Inter €4m plus a further €4m.
