While there are reports of a new Sporting CP offer for Alberto Costa, it is suggested in Portugal that Juventus will take the full-back off the market.

There have been numerous stories over the last few days about Sporting trying to bring the 21-year-old talent back to Portugal, just six months after his €13.8m transfer from Vitoria Guimaraes to Turin.

The latest from transfer pundit Fabrizio Romano and O Jogo maintains that there is a new proposal set at €13m plus add-ons.

He also notes that Juventus are asking for €15m in a fixed fee, plus add-ons and also a 10 per cent cut of the future sale.

Juventus wary of letting Alberto Costa go

However, A Bola in Portugal maintain this is an increasingly doomed endeavour because coach Igor Tudor has decided to keep hold of Alberto Costa for this season.

He has made 14 competitive appearances in the Juve jersey, contributing three assists, but two of those were in the FIFA Club World Cup.

The right-back impressed during that tournament and Juve are wary of letting him go too soon without first seeing what he can do.

Having made that mistake several times in recent years with young players, it is very possible they will resist anything but the most impressive offer for Alberto Costa.
