Arsenal continues to explore opportunities in the transfer market, and one potential addition under consideration is Anthony Gordon.

The Gunners have maintained a long-standing interest in the Newcastle United winger and are understood to still be monitoring him closely. After strengthening their squad this summer with several high-profile signings, they are evaluating further ways to add quality in key areas.

Newcastle’s position

Newcastle are already under pressure, with Alexander Isak absent after pushing for a move to Liverpool. His absence is a major blow to their attack, and losing another key figure would be far from ideal for the Magpies. With the striker situation unresolved, they are unlikely to welcome approaches for Gordon, who remains an important player in their set-up.

Despite this, Arsenal are keeping the 24-year-old on their shortlist of possible targets for the left-wing role. According to The Sun, he remains firmly on their radar as they consider ways to enhance their attacking options before the close of the window.

Arsenal’s transfer plan

For any move to materialise, Arsenal will first need to generate funds through sales. Several players are expected to depart, with Jakub Kiwior and Fabio Vieira considered candidates to leave. Their exits could bring in the resources required to strengthen other areas of the squad and pave the way for an approach for Gordon.

Arsenal already boast one of the strongest squads in the Premier League, but Mikel Arteta’s side is determined not to stand still. The addition of a player of Gordon’s calibre would add further depth and versatility in attack, ensuring the Gunners remain competitive on all fronts this season.

Should an agreement be reached, the winger’s pace, directness and ability to influence matches could provide the extra edge Arsenal are seeking in their pursuit of silverware.
