Arteta offers encouraging update on two injured Arsenal stars

Mikel Arteta has offered some encouraging news on the fitness of Cristhian Mosquera and Jurrien Timber, as fans want to know whether they will be fit to face Sunderland.

Arsenal’s injury problems have been manageable, and they have not had to deal with the loss of an important player for a long period since the season started.

There are, however, some minor injury concerns within the group, as they continue to wait for William Saliba to return to training and playing matches for them this term.

As he prepares his team for the match against Sunderland, Arteta has provided a fitness update on Timber and Mosquera, two players who have fitness concerns ahead of the game.

If they are fit, both players could have a chance to start the match, although only the manager can make that decision. Arteta is therefore the right person to provide an update, as he will decide whether they are ready to be selected in the starting line-up or included in the squad.

Mosquera appears to be making good progress, although Arteta has stopped short of confirming that the defender will be available for the upcoming fixture. As quoted by Arsenal Media, he said:
