The brawl after the Leagues Cup Final is expected to lead to repercussions for the Inter Miami players involved. The scenes of many Inter Miami players brawling with Seattle Sounders players took away from the final.

Two days after the final, Leagues Cup nor the MLS has published an official statement addressing the fight after the match. Inter Miami has also not published a statement in regards to the fights.

New reports from Alonso El Inca from Area Sports Network suggest that there will be heavy sanctions for Inter Miami players and for Luis Suarez, who spat at Seattle Sounders staff member Gene Ramirez.

Suarez could not only face a match ban but a fine, based on previous spitting incidents with players in the MLS.

What Punishments & Fines Luis Suarez & Inter Miami Stars Could Face?

According to Alonso El Inca's sources, between five to eight red cards will be issued after the incident. This will include match bans for many players, with many expecting that it involves mostly Inter Miami players.

Luis Suarez may receive a heavy ban that will carry over to next year's Leagues Cup. The red cards for other Inter Miami players would also carry over to next year's tournament.

Since the incident occurred in the Leagues Cup, many fans think that Suarez will not be banned from the upcoming MLS games. The red cards are also expected to only be for next year's tournament.

The most recent spitting incident in the MLS was Hector Herrera at the Houston Dynamo last year. The Mexican midfielder spat at the referee and received a straight red card. The player received a three-match ban.

Just three days later, the Houston Dynamo announced his contract would not be renewed, and the player left the club.

Most spitting incidents involve a match ban and a fine, but since Suarez did it in the Leagues Cup, the Uruguayan could expect to receive a two-match ban at least.
