Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti is reportedly ready to sign a new and extended contract with Brazil until 2030, leading them through to another World Cup campaign.

According to O Globo newspaper , the plan is to ensure the former Real Madrid boss will remain with them, regardless of the results at the USA, Mexico and Canada in 2026.

This shows the level of trust that the Brazilian Federation has in Ancelotti, having tried for so long to tempt him into taking the job.

Ancelotti had strong start with Brazil

In turn, the Italian has previously commented that he and his family are happy with the role, and he would be open to accepting a longer contract.

His record on the Selecao bench so far has been three victories, a 1-0 defeat to Bolivia, and the 0-0 draw in Ecuador.

They were in action yesterday with a 5-0 friendly win over South Korea.

Ancelotti remains the only coach in history to win all five top European league titles, securing Serie A, LaLiga, the Premier League, Bundesliga and Ligue 1.

Many still dream that he could one day take over the Italy squad, but a new contract with Brazil would make that more unlikely.
