Bruno Fernandes earns extra £9.2m

Bruno Fernandes has established himself as one of the Premier League’s most well-known players with him breaking the assists record during the previous campaign.

As Manchester United’s captain, the attacking midfielder represents the club at the very top level and is seen as an essential asset that must be kept in order to remain competitive.

News that contract conversations had hit deadlock may have concerned supporters about his future, which was heavily contested in last summer’s transfer window, although later reports that he would stay may have helped to ease those worries.

With the new season approaching, it remains to be seen what levels Bruno Fernandes could hit in the coming years as Michael Carrick and Manchester United work alongside him in an attempt to succeed.

SunSport have now revealed, however, that the Portuguese international has earned an extra £9.2 million through image rights payments, which are classed as an off-field payment.

The latest accounts, filled in by the player, showed the figure. Numbers previously released covering the 2024-25 campaign show that he piled up £9.5 million in BF8 Sports Ltd (the company that the midfielder uses for payments off the field).

That figure has gone up by £1.1 million compared with the previous year. After paying necessary bills, such as tax, Fernandes has been left with £9,180,001 (£9.2m).

The Manchester United captain currently have 12 months left on his deal with the club hopeful of extending that in the coming months, although the club do have an option to extend the contract by 12 months already. He also has sponsorship deals with multiple brands including Nike and EA Sports.

Bruno Fernandes is set to join up with Michael Carrick’s squad in the coming weeks as the side prepare for their opening Premier League game of the season against Hull City.
