Carlo Ancelotti Wins 11th Trophy As Real Madrid Manager Thanks To Supercopa Thrashing Of Barcelona

Carlo Ancelotti won the 11th trophy of his Real Madrid career on Sunday by overseeing a 4-1 win over Barcelona in the final of the Supercopa de Espana.

Vinicius Junior scored a hat-trick for Madrid inside the opening 39 minutes before Rodrygo joined his fellow Brazilian on the scoresheet in the second half.

Robert Lewandowski scored Barcelona's only goal of the game in between Madrid's second and third.

Madrid have now won the Supercopa de Espana twice during Ancelotti's two spells at the club.

Ancelotti has also delivered one La Liga title, two UEFA Champions Leagues, two FIFA Club World Cups, two UEFA Super Cups and two Copa del Rey trophies.

He is only the third manager in Madrid's history to win 11 trophies.

Zinedine Zidane also won 11, while Miguel Munoz is still the most successful manager in the club's 121-year history with 14 titles.

Munoz won La Liga nine times with Madrid between 1961 and 1972.

He also won the European Cup in 1960 and 1966, as well as leading Madrid to glory twice in the Copa del Rey.

Munoz's other trophy as Madrid manager was the Intercontinental Cup in 1960.

Zidane won two La Liga titles as Real boss. He also famously won the Champions League in three straight seasons between 2016 and 2018.

The Frenchman's other trophies while in charge of Madrid were two Supercopas, two UEFA Super Cups and two FIFA Club World Cups.
