Matchday 25 of the MLS will see Chicago Fire and Inter Miami facing off again this season, but this time Chicago Fire will host the MLS champions at Soldier Field.

Both teams are the best-performing teams in the Eastern Conference, with Inter Miami currently 2nd with 43 points and Chicago Fire 3rd with 38 points.

The last time both teams faced off, Inter Miami defeated Chicago Fire 3-2 at Nu Stadium. Luis Suárez scored a brace, and Robert Lewandowski made his MLS debut.

In the previous matchup, Lionel Messi was not available to play because it was days after the 2026 World Cup Final between Spain and Argentina, in which Messi played the match.

Lionel Messi is fit and available to play for Inter Miami tonight against Chicago Fire. Luis Suarez is also expected to play, as the striker is fit, but the team has many players out due to injury. Tadeo Allende, Gonzalo Luján, Santiago Morales, Micael, Sergio Reguilón, and Mateo Silvetti will miss the game tonight due to injury.

For Chicago Fire, Robert Lewandowski is fit and is expected to play against Inter Miami tonight. The players who will miss the match tonight due to injuries are Jonathan Bamba, André Franco, and Mbekezeli Mbokazi.
