Chiesa and Danilo boost for Juventus ahead of Napoli trip

Federico Chiesa and Danilo both returned to squad training today as Juventus prepare for their coming clash with Napoli.

Sparks have already started to fly off the pitch between the two bitter rivals, with Partenopei president Aurelio De Laurentiis looking to take legal action to stop the Old Lady from qualifying for the Club World Cup, something he alluded to when speaking at the Business of Football Summit.

Juventus have not yet responded to De Laurentiis’ provocations, instead quietly working ahead of their Serie A clash with Napoli on the weekend. The Bianconeri are currently on track to qualify for the Club World Cup, unless the Partenopei reach the Champions League semi-finals this term.

Football Italia understands that both Chiesa and Danilo returned to squad training with Massimiliano Allegri and their Juventus teammates at Continassa today, both gearing up for the coming match with Napoli.

The pair are now expected to join the squad for the match, although further tests will be needed on Sunday to see if either will be fit enough to start.
