Kevin De Bruyne reportedly received confirmation that Napoli are expected to keep Antonio Conte as the Belgian rejected a big offer from Fenerbahce to sign for the Partenopei.
Transfer expert Sacha Tavolieri reports the latest updates on Napoli talks for De Bruyne, confirming that the Belgian ace is on the verge of signing with the fresh Serie A champions.
Tavolieri wrote on X, formerly Twitter, that during recent ‘talks between De Bruyne’s side and Napoli, it has been confirmed that Antonio Conte should stay.’
The Italian tactician met President Aurelio De Laurentiis on Tuesday and has taken time before deciding on his future at the Maradona.
Napoli are becoming increasingly confident that Conte will remain in charge, and Matteo Moretto reported this morning that the Partenopei even offered their coach an improved contract.
As for De Bruyne, Tavolieri added that Turkish side Fenerbahce, coached by José Mourinho, offered the Manchester City star €25m until 2027, but the 33-year-old has already chosen Napoli.
The Partenopei President, Aurelio De Laurentiis, confirmed positive negotiations with De Bruyne earlier this week, stating that the Manchester City ace had already purchased a house in Italy.
“I know that he has already bought, or rather, I believe he has already bought, a beautiful house. This morning I spoke to him, his wife and his nine-year-old son on a video call,” said the Napoli President.
De Laurentiis was also asked if this was an official announcement of De Bruyne’s signing, to which he replied: “No, we can’t say it until we have something in black and white. We are serious, that I know.”
