Clyde 1 Superscoreboard is either the best or the worst platform for supporters and pundits to interact on all things Scottish football. With a cast of pundits ranging from football writers to ex-professionals, Gordon Duncan tackles the headline and leads the discussion.

However, the popularity of the show often leads to some utterly bizarre contributions from supporters and on Tuesday evening, a Rangers supporter provided a truly nonsensical statement regarding the split fixtures.

The caller asked why Celtic had three home games whilst his beloved Rangers had two home games. The matter was escalated when he uttered the infamous words ‘sporting integrity’, which tells you exactly where their support is at present.

The caller’s main contention is that Philippe Clement’s side must go to Paisley for a third time whilst Celtic host Stephen Robinson’s side for a third time.

Kenny Miller, to his credit, quickly shut down the argument and suggestion that their was some kind of anti-Rangers conspiracy.

Celtic, of course, have had to play away to Aberdeen twice, Hibs twice and Motherwell twice while Rangers have only played each team once away from home. Now, they will benefit from the split as fixtures level out nineteen home and away games for each team.

The fixtures confirmed Celtic would travel to Dens on Sunday 28 April before hosting Hearts the following Saturday ahead of a Glasgow Derby meeting with Rangers on 11 May . Thereafter, a trip to Kilmarnock midweek awaits before Celtic’s campaign finishes with St Mirren coming to Paradise.
