Details of Juventus’ deal for Joshua Zirkzee uncovered

Joshua Zirkzee appears to be coming to the end of his time at Manchester United with a move to Juventus beckoning.

The 25-year-old forward, who joined United in 2024, made 26 appearances last season, scoring two goals whilst providing one assist.

In his first season at the club (2024/25), Zirkzee made 49 appearances, scoring seven and providing two assists.

Reports linking the Dutchman with a move away from Old Trafford are not new. News of Zirkzee’s potential departure was uncovered in the last winter transfer window with AS Roma emerging as a leading contender.

That move ultimately did not transpire with Ruben Amorim’s departure from Manchester United disrupting the transfer window entirely although Juventus have emerged as a leading contender for the forward in this transfer window.

Having agreed personal terms with the Old Lady earlier this week, new details have emerged about the deal itself.

Gazzetta now report that Juventus’ Chief Football Officer, Frederic Massara, is hoping that the club can agree a conditional loan deal with Manchester United for the forward.

Massara was previously at Roma when the club were attempting to sign Zirkzee in the winter window and is hoping to build on the work already done between himself and the forward’s representatives to get this deal over the line.

Manchester United previously agreed a conditional loan with Barcelona when Marcus Rashford made the switch to Spain in last summer’s transfer window.

Rashford went onto make 49 appearances for Barça across the course of the campaign, scoring 14 goals and providing eleven assists, as he became a key focal point for the side.

Juventus will hope that Joshua Zirkzee can have a similarly successful campaign with them in the course of the coming season, one that could be pivotal in shaping the forward’s career.
