Douglas Luiz is set to join Nottingham Forest from Juventus, signing a €5m-a-year contract, the same salary he earned in Turin.

Juventus midfielder Douglas Luiz will fly to England in the coming hours to complete a move to Nottingham Forest.

Juventus have agreed to lower their transfer demands, sending the ex-Aston Villa midfielder back to England for circa €30m.

The Brazilian strongly wanted to return to the Premier League and had agreed to personal terms with Forest days ago.

Gazzetta reported this morning that Douglas Luiz agreed to sign a €5m-a-year contract with his new club, plus add-ons.

It’s exactly the same salary he earned at Juventus in 2024-25, his only season at the Allianz Stadium.

Douglas Luiz flopped at Juventus

Douglas Luiz didn’t score or assist in 27 appearances across all competitions with Juventus last season and caused outrage at the end of July when he didn’t participate in the first days of the pre-season without the club’s consent.

Juventus will officially confirm the transfer formula and the fee paid by Forest in a statement once Douglas Luiz signs his contract with the Premier League club.
