UEFA will hold the 2025/26 Champions League championship phase draw on August 26 in Monaco.

According to FCInterNews, the draw for the league stage will feature 36 teams divided into four pots based on the coefficient rankings.

Reigning champions Paris Saint-Germain have earned a seeded spot in Pot 1 after beating Inter Milan in last year’s final.

Furthermore, the format will be the same as last year.

However, UEFA will reveal the match calendar, including dates and kick-off times, two days after the main draw.

2025/26 UEFA Champions League Main Draw

Special guests will physically take one ball from Pot 1 before the automated software selects eight different opponents for each team.

Interestingly, UEFA used the same procedure last year.

According to UEFA’s regulations, teams from the same league cannot face each other in the opening phase.

Meanwhile, Inter will look for a more favorable draw than in 2024/25, even though they performed brilliantly last season.

Led by Simone Inzaghi, they secured automatic qualification for the knockout stages and reached the grand final.

Unfortunately, PSG swept them away in the Munich showpiece.
