The idea of a loan right now is science fiction – his contract expires in just over eleven months, so this will need to be monitored closely day to day, perhaps even hour by hour.
After what we had reported about Manchester City in the previous months, on May 7 (now over three months ago) we exclusively revealed Pep Guardiola’s strong interest and approval.
In recent weeks, we have added that City would push ahead with the move regardless of what happens in that position in the final days. But Ederson’s departure would be crucial and, as we have been telling you for days, he is in intense negotiations with Galatasaray.
We have no confirmation regarding Chelsea – perhaps they like the profile but they have not made a move; and at least so far nothing concrete on Manchester United either. Bayern have continued to make enquiries (in action since January) anticipating that this could be Neuer’s final year.
As for the Italian giants who had, in some way, tested the waters, there could be faint hopes only on a free transfer. But not this time – not in the current web of moves involving Ederson, Guardiola’s strong appreciation and Bayern…
