Everyone’s chasing stars in Fantasy La Liga 2025/26—but the real winners are finding elite value in bargain bins. With squad budgets tighter than ever, unlocking consistent starters on the cheap is the smartest path to long-term returns.

Whether it’s a breakout winger under a new manager, a set-piece specialist from a promoted side, or a budget defender in a top-6 backline, the edge lies in identifying undervalued assets before the market catches on.

This list highlights the best low-cost players flying under the radar, using underlying stats, tactical context, and projected minutes to find the most efficient picks in Spain.

Espanyol GK Marko Dmitrovic

At a price of just 6.69M points, Marko Dmitrovic is a proven starting goalkeeper in La Liga who has moved in to Espanyol after Leganes’s relegation back to the second division, replacing phenom Joan Garcia (now with crosstown rivals Barcelona) in goal.

Dmitrovic’s impressive physique has made him a household name and a cult hero in La Liga, but he’s also genuinely a great shot-stopper. Per FBRef.com, he was fifth in post-shot expected goals allowed and has been a yearly fixutre in the Spanish top flight.

Celta Vigo CB Carl Starfelt

A breakout star in La Liga in the 2023/24 season after coming to Spain as a Scottish Premier League star for Celtic, Carl Starfelt continued his solid form with a positive 2024/25 season.

He is one of the most underrated center backs in Europe. The 30-year-old Swedish international has a veteran presence about him and is difficult to stop one-on-one. For less than 5M points, he is an easy bargain.

Athletic Club CB Yeray Alvarez

The risky thing about picking up Yeray Alvarez is that there are other mouths to feed in the Athletic Club defense, but Yeray is very cheap at just 5.1M points and is one of the most proven veteran center backs in La Liga.

Last season, Yeray averaged 1.2 tackles, 1.6 interceptions, and 6.0 clearances per game with just 0.3 dribbles completed allowed per match. The 30-year-old is still as solid as ever and worth stowing away in your side.

Barcelona DM Marc Casado

One of the breakout stars for Barcelona last season, Marc Casado is a great buy-low candidate in La Liga Fantasy after his season-ending injury, and there’s no reason to doubt his ability to pick up where he left off since so much of his game is based on the mental and technical side of things.

At just under 6.0M points in cost, Casado is a top-class defensive midfielder on a winning side who can assist goals and rack up passing statistics. He’s a safe bet for the price.

Sevilla DM Lucien Agoume

For more of a ball-winning profile who also has youthful upside, Sevilla’s Lucien Agoume is a player on the radar of bigger clubs as a possible transfer target down the road, because the 23-year-old Frenchman had an impressive season for the Nervionenses in 2024/25.

Agoume averaged safely over three combined tackles and interceptions per game while being dribbled past just 0.3 times per match. He won’t offer many points offensively, but he has what it takes to be an elite point-scorer in the defensive statistics at a meager 3.0M price point.

Athletic Club DM Mikel Jauregizar

Sticking with the defensive profiles, Mikel Jauregizar is a highly promising 21-year-old who averaged more than three combined tackles and interceptions per game last season, too, as a 20+ game starter for the Basque Lions.

He should take a big step forward in 2024/25, and he has more on-the-ball ability than Agoume. Young, ascending talents at Athletic Club are generally worth believing in, because this is a team that tends to trust those players and allows them to shine. He’s about half a million points cheaper than Casado to boot.

Mallorca ST Cyle Larin

Digging deep into the bargain bin, Cyle Larin is one of several forgotten players on Mallorca who is better than most people think. The 30-year-old is one of the best Canadian internationals playing in Europe, despite being overshadowed by current Juventus striker Jonathan David, and he quietly had seven goals in La Liga last season.

If you want to stack up your La Liga Fantasy team with big names and don’t have much left over on a backup, you could do a lot worse than punting 2.7M points on Larin, who started 21 matches for the islanders in the 2024/25 season.

Girona FW Yaser Asprilla

A serious breakout candidate for the 2024/25 season if Girona give him a bigger role, Yaser Asprilla is one of the most electrifying dribblers in La Liga and someone with the speed to kill teams in transition and the agility to create space for his own shot in the penalty area.

With just 15 starts compared to 12 appearances off the bench last season, Asprilla is a bit of a gamble, but at 4.4M points, the 21-year-old Colombian international is a chance worth taking.

Rayo Vallecano ST Sergio Camello

Again, the theme with cheap forwards is that they are gambles, but Rayo Vallecano don’t have a set striker and Sergio Camello, on paper, is easily their most talented option.

The 24-year-old bagged a meager three goals in 23 appearances last season, but he’s started 20 games in two previous seasons at Rayo and had 11 goal contributions as a rookie. It feels like Camello is just one season away from putting it all together, and maybe the 2025/26 campaign is his season.

Espanyol ST Kike Garcia

The journeyman La Liga striker is one of the most underrated players in the league and someone who is a good bet to bag double-digit goals if he plays regularly. Kike Garcia has tremendous technical ability beyond what you’d expect, and he has a real eye for goal with suave finishing chops.

Last season, Garcia nabbed 13 goals for Deportivo Alaves, and he should get a similar output for Espanyol as the clear top dog in the No. 9 spot. Although 9M isn’t cheap compared to the prices of these other players, it’s a steal if he scores another 10-15 in 2025/26.
