Reports in Italy claim that Roma are ready to make their opening offer for Mason Greenwood, who is valued at €50m by Olympique Marseille.
Several sources in Italy claim that English winger Greenwood is Roma’s priority target in attack for the summer.
Greenwood’s club, Olympique Marseille, must make a big-money sale for financial reasons and value the ex-Manchester United winger at €50m.
Greenwood has attracted interest from Fenerbahce as well, but according to Corriere dello Sport, he’d rather move to Roma, who will surely play in the Champions League next season, while the Turkish club will have to go through the play-off.
The Rome-based paper adds that Bayer Leverkusen’s Kerim Alajbegovic is another target for the Giallorossi, yet Greenwood remains their primary option.
Both Corriere and Gazzetta report that Roma will send their opening offer for Greenwood, around €40m plus bonuses, as soon as they confirm the appointment of sporting director D’Amico between today and tomorrow.
According to Repubblica, Roma will offer Greenwood a €4.5m-a-year salary plus easily achievable bonuses, as Greenwood currently earns €5m per season in Marseille.
Repubblica reports that Greenwood has also attracted interest from the Premier League, while his former club Manchester United hold a 40% sell-on clause.
