CD Guadalajara is 17th in Group 1 of the Primera Federación. Group 1 has 20 teams in this league, and the team has four wins, five draws, and seven losses after 16 league matches.

CD Guadalajara reached this stage of the Copa del Rey after beating AD Ceuta FC in the second round of the competition on December 2, 2025.

FC Barcelona will play their first game of the 2025-26 Copa Del Rey this season. Barcelona won the competition last season over Real Madrid in the final that was played on April 26, 2025, with a 3-2 scoreline.

Barcelona won their last five matches across all competitions, and their most recent match was over the weekend against Osasuna in La Liga at the Camp Nou. Raphinha scored the two goals Barcelona needed to remain top of the La Liga table with 43 points.

FC Barcelona manager Hansi Flick hinted at slight rotations in the starting lineup, but will play some stars against CD Guadalajara.
