Both nations played in the March international break. Haiti faced Tunisia and Iceland in late March. Haiti lost 1-0 to Tunisia but then drew 1-1 with Iceland; Wilson Idisor scored the goal for Haiti.
New Zealand played against Finland and Chile during the March international break. New Zealand lost 2-0 to Finland but then defeated Chile 4-1.
In the 4-1 win over Chile, the New Zealand goalscorers were Kosta Barbarouses, Elijah Just, Jesse Randall, and Ben Waine.
Haiti will make their second-ever appearance in a World Cup this summer and are in Group C with Brazil, Morocco, and Scotland. New Zealand returned to the World Cup in 2010 and is in Group G with Belgium, Iran, and Egypt.

Haiti vs New Zealand will kick off at 8 p.m. ET/ 5 p.m. PT in the United States. The match will kick off at 8 p.m. local time at Chase Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
