Inter midfielder Petar Sucic has spoken enthusiastically about his experience since joining the Nerazzurri, describing his first months at the club as “phenomenal,” and he also praised fellow Croatia star Luka Modric for settling in well at AC Milan.
Speaking to the Croatia national team’s official channels ahead of the friendly against Gibraltar, with quotes via FCInterNews, the 21-year-old expressed satisfaction with his adaptation and development in Milan.
“Everything is phenomenal – I’ve been very happy since the first day,” Sucic said.
“I’m trying to improve with every training session and every day. Inter is a great club and a big step in my career, but I knew where I was going.
“It’s a long season with many matches, and I believe everything will end well.”
Sucic was also asked about his national teammate and Serie A rival Luka Modric, who has made an impressive start to life with AC Milan.
“It’s no surprise to me, or to anyone in Croatia,” he said.
“In Italy they’ve quickly learned about Luka and his qualities. I hope he keeps going like this, even if he plays for Milan, our biggest rival.
“The most important thing is that he stays healthy and we all reach the World Cup.”
The young midfielder has been one of the standout new arrivals under Cristian Chivu, earning praise for his maturity and consistency at both club and international level.
Sucic arrived at Inter from Dinamo Zagreb in the summer and has quickly settled in well for Chivu, putting in strong performances since his arrival in Lombardy.
