Inter Milan are getting ready to offer Simone Inzaghi a long-term contract extension with Al-Hilal preparing to raise their offer to a huge €50 million per season.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

Inter Milan are working to extend the contract of coach Simone Inzaghi.

The Nerazzurri certainly have no doubts about wanting to continue on with the coach who has guided them to two Champions League finals already.

And for his part, Inzaghi wants to stay. He certainly feels that there is more to achieve with the Nerazzurri.

However, in the background, Al-Hilal are looking to pull off a shock move for the Inter coach.

Inter Milan Ready To Offer Inzaghi A New Long-Term Contract As Al-Hilal Raise Offer To €50M/Season

Inzaghi has already turned down a big offer from Al-Hilal.

The Saudi club put a contract on the table worth around €20 million per season. That would already be substantially more than Inzaghi earns at Inter.

However, the Nerazzurri coach flatly rejected this.

Nevertheless, Al-Hilal are not giving up.

The Saudi Pro League club are ready to go all-out financially, reports Tuttosport.

The Turin-based newspaper anticipate that Al-Hilal could go as high as €50 million per season with their offer to Inzaghi.

However, Inter are determined to keep the 49-year-old at the helm of their project.

Therefore, the Nerazzurri could offer their coach a more long-term deal. They could extend his contract until the end of June 2028.

This would be on wages of €7-8 million net per season, plus substantial add-ons.

Furthermore, reports Tuttosport, Inter will also give Inzaghi guarantees regarding the transfer market.
