
Matheus Cunha embraced great success in his first season at Manchester United last season.
Joining from Wolves in last summer’s transfer window, the forward formed part of an attacking rebuild which saw himself, Bryan Mbeumo, and Benjamin Sesko all brought into the club to strengthen the squad.
During his first campaign, he scored ten goals and provided two assists with each of these goal contributions coming in the Premier League.
From his first goal against Brighton and Hove Albion to netting the winner against Arsenal at the Emirates, Cunha produced memorable moments that Manchester United supporters will remember for years to come.
With him just one-year into his five-year deal with the club, United supporters will be hoping that the Brazilian international can continue to produce iconic moments in the coming seasons.
Matheus Cunha has now made the move to Internacional, however, with him joining the club on a loan basis until June 2027 according to the club’s official website.
No, it is not the Cunha United supporters know and love. Instead, the Matheus Cunha that has signed for Internacional plays as a goalkeeper and joins the club from Cruzeiro Esporte Clube.
He has won a long list of trophies and honors with his previous clubs, underlining his ability between the sticks.

Internacional’s goalkeeping unit has been strengthened as a result of the deal, which runs on a loan basis until the end of next June.
The club are due to face Cruzeiro on Thursday 23rd July and are currently sat 14th in the Brazilian Serie A table.
