Simone Inzaghi has given the Inter Milan squad two days off to recharge before they start preparing for the Champions League final against PSG.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

There’s just one more week to go.

Inter Milan face Paris Saint-Germain in the final of the Champions League next Saturday.

That will be an absolutely season-defining match, and one of the most important in Inter’s history.

Therefore, the Nerazzurri will certainly be giving absolutely everything to prepare for their showdown with PSG.

But at the same time, a long and exhausting league campaign has just come to an end for Inter.

The Nerazzurri squad will have to process the disappointment of failing to win the title on the final day.

Moreover, the physical effects of playing twice per week all season long are still lingering for the Nerazzurri.

Therefore, it is little surprise that the players need a bit of a break.

To this end, Inter coach Simone Inzaghi has given his players Saturday and Sunday off. Then, from Monday on, the preparations for the Champions League final will be all-out.
