Jack Davies officially joins Manchester United

Manchester United have officially added another figure with experience inside Premier League football to their ranks.

The Red Devils have been making Premier League experience a clear priority over the last 12 months, having signed several players from English clubs.

Matheus Cunha arrived from Wolves, Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford, Andrey Santos from Chelsea, Youri Tielemans from Aston Villa, and Karl Darlow from Leeds.

As such, much of the attention at Old Trafford is naturally fixed on the first-team squad whenever a new arrival is confirmed.

However, recruitment behind the scenes remains just as important for a club whose identity has long been tied to developing young players.

United’s academy has produced first-team stars across generations, from the Busby Babes and the Class of ’92 to more recent graduates including Marcus Rashford and Kobbie Mainoo.

Maintaining that pathway requires the club to recruit talented coaches and development staff, as well as the best young players.

Now, United have completed another appointment involving someone who has already worked for a fellow Premier League club.

First Foot Forward Sports have announced that their founder and head coach, Jack Davies, has officially joined Manchester United following what the organisation described as a successful spell with Everton.

The announcement did not disclose Davies’ exact role at United, the age group he may work with or whether his position sits directly within the club’s academy structure.

However, the move still brings a coach with recent Everton experience into United’s wider setup.

Davies is the founder and head coach of First Foot Forward Sports, a private football development organisation based in the North West.

FFF runs teams, open sessions, private coaching and holiday camps, with the organisation explaining that its young players will continue to benefit from Davies’ access to current academy insight and elite coaching standards.

The group also believes the appointment will strengthen its existing connection with Manchester United while maintaining relationships with other academies across the region.

For United, those local relationships can be valuable.

The club’s academy does not only depend on the players already inside Carrington. Its network across Manchester and the wider North West is also central to identifying and developing talent before it reaches senior football.

Davies’ move from Everton therefore adds another point of experience and connection within that regional system.

Until United or Davies provides further information, his precise title at the club remains unclear.

What has been confirmed is that United have officially recruited the FFF founder after his time with Everton, adding another development-focused figure to the club’s ranks.
