Jack Marshall officially signs for Manchester United

So far this summer, Manchester United have added a wealth of talent to their side ready for the 2026/27 season, and the future of the club.

Andrey Santos has joined from Chelsea, Youri Tielemans has joined from Aston Villa, and Karl Darlow has signed on as a free agent.

However, the club have also made significant additions to their academy, with Cristian Orozco finally completing his move to United following his 18th birthday.

Now, the Red Devils have added another promising youngster to their ranks as United continue working to strengthen for the future.

Jack Marshall has earned the opportunity following two years of considerable progress within the First Foot Forward Sports programme.

FFF Sports announced the news on Instagram, congratulating Marshall after he formally completed his move to the club.

According to FFF, the youngster pre-signed for United towards the end of his under-seven season ahead of joining the club’s under-nine age group.

FFF believes the early nature of the move demonstrates the considerable progress he has made during the last two years.

In its announcement, FFF described the youngster as a “phenomenal young talent” and praised how coachable he has been throughout his development.

The organisation also thanked Marshall’s parents, Ant and Steph, for the commitment and support they have provided throughout his journey.

Ant received a special mention after leading the FFF under-six side and playing an important role during the earliest stages of Marshall’s development.

This move follows another recent announcement connecting First Foot Forward Sports with Manchester United.

FFF recently confirmed that its founder and head coach, Jack Davies, had joined United following a successful spell with Everton.

The organisation said Davies’ move would strengthen its links with United and allow players involved in its programmes to benefit from current academy insight and elite coaching standards.

Marshall now becomes a tangible example of a young player progressing from those programmes into Manchester United’s academy.

For the youngster, the move represents the beginning of his academy journey rather than any guarantee about where it will eventually lead.

The pathway from youth football to the senior game remains exceptionally difficult, even for players recruited by the country’s leading academies.

Nevertheless, earning the opportunity to continue his development with Manchester United represents a significant achievement at such a young age.
