The squad of Inter Milan cost over €200 million less than their Juventus counterparts but is worth far more today ahead of Saturday’s Derby d’Italia.

According to a report published by the Corriere dello Sport, via FcInter1908, the journeys of Inter and Juventus in recent years have been very different.

The Nerazzurri had been struggling financially up until last summer, when accounts were finally back in the black.

Inter could finally begin to invest again in the transfer market without having to rely on significant sales to fund it.

Juventus vs Inter Milan – Derby d’Italia of Squad Costs Reveal Only One Winner

According to the Corriere’s data, Inter’s squad cost just a combined total of €286.9 million over the years.

Now, the same squad is worth a total of €707.8 million.

This is due to talented youth graduates emerging and acquisitions appreciating in value.

Juventus, meanwhile, have spent far more money on their squad, with far less returns in appreciation.

The Bianconeri squad cost €489.15 million in acquisition costs has hardly increased in value over time.
