The benefits of Cristian Chivu and Matteo Rapetti’s revamped fitness programme are becoming clear at Inter. The Nerazzurri look sharper and stronger than they have in years, with Federico Dimarco and Lautaro Martinez standing out as prime examples of the transformation.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, Inter have regained their physical edge – gone are the second-half energy drops that once cost them points.

Meanwhile, any late-game dips are now more about focus than fatigue.

Lautaro has undergone a carefully planned physical development, with work centred on body balance and muscle conditioning.

The result is a captain in peak form, quicker, more resilient, and relentless in his pressing.

Dimarco, too, has rediscovered his best shape and his best form – becoming a vital part of Chivu’s squad.

Inter Covering Large Distance As Dimarco and Lautaro Shine For Chivu

“The match in which Inter collectively ran the most was the 4-1 win over Cremonese, covering 116.9 kilometres,” Gazzetta highlights.

“The top individual performance came from Nicolò Barella, who ran 12.6 km, while Calhanoglu, Mkhitaryan, and Sucic all stayed close to 12.”

On the right flank, Dumfries and Luis Henrique topped the sprint charts, hitting 28.4 km/h and 28.2 km/h respectively, showcasing the explosive speed across Chivu’s entire lineup.

Equally encouraging is the team’s injury record.

Apart from Thuram’s muscle issue, Inter have stayed clear of fitness setbacks – further proof that Chivu and Rapetti’s meticulous conditioning work is producing results.
