Manchester United star wants to join I’m A Celebrity

Manchester United stars continue to prepare for life beyond football as their careers develop both on and off the pitch.

Bruno Fernandes has recently faced uncertainty over his long-term future after contract talks with the club reportedly reached a deadlock.

The United captain remains central to Michael Carrick’s plans.

However, interest from clubs abroad has continued to surround him.

Mason Mount has also started building interests away from football after launching his own golf clothing brand.

The midfielder has become creatively involved in the project and could already be considering opportunities for when his playing career eventually ends.

However, another Manchester United star has revealed a very different ambition.

Rather than moving into coaching or focusing entirely on business, the player would be interested in entering one of British television’s biggest reality shows.

United star wants to appear on I’m A Celebrity

Manchester United Women midfielder Ella Toone has revealed that she wants to appear on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! after retiring from football.

Toone made the admission during an interview published on talkSPORT’s YouTube channel.

When asked about her plans for life after playing, the England international quickly ruled out becoming a manager.

She explained that she would struggle to deal with players complaining to her every day before revealing her preferred career move.

Toone said: “No. No, I don’t think I’d go into management now. Because I couldn’t deal with players like me moaning every day at me.

“So, no, I just want to go on I’m a Celeb.”

The 26-year-old has already become one of the most recognisable figures in the women’s game.

She developed through Manchester United’s academy before becoming an important player for both the club and England.

Toone was also recently awarded an MBE at Windsor Castle in recognition of her contribution to England’s European Championship successes in 2022 and 2025.

Although retirement remains some distance away, her personality and popularity could make her an ideal future contestant.

For now, Toone will remain focused on helping Manchester United and England achieve further success, but supporters may eventually see her exchanging the football pitch for the Australian jungle.
