AC Milan signed Joao Felix on transfer deadline day from Chelsea on a dry loan deal, but they are already thinking about how to make it permanent.

There have already been reports suggesting that Felix wants to stay at Milan beyond the summer, and before the Roma game – in which the forward made his debut, coming off the bench to score – Geoffrey Moncada certainly left the door open.

According to Calciomercato.com, Felix arrived for a loan fee of €5m including bonuses and Milan will pay a large part of the player’s salary, but Chelsea will participate with a percentage. Given the limited time available to close the deal, it was not possible to negotiate any option or obligation to buy.

However, the Rossoneri and the Blues will be sitting around a table at the end of the season to talk about things, especially if he continues playing the way that he did on debut. But how much money might be needed to land him?

Joao Felix was officially purchased by Chelsea on 21 August 2024 as part of the operation that saw Gallagher go to Atletico Madrid. The Blues valued Felix at €52m, giving him a six-year contract expiring on 30 June 2030 at €8.14m per year.
